| Lower Bracket Routing | Instant algorithmic placement without rematches | Complex mental math prone to bye placement errors |

Questions About Double Elimination
In double elimination, a competitor must lose twice to be eliminated. If the player coming from the Losers (Lower) Bracket beats the undefeated Winners (Upper) Bracket player in Grand Finals, both players now have exactly one loss. Tournament Pie automatically triggers "Grand Finals Reset" (Match 2). The winner of this final match wins the tournament.
